UK Automatic Optical Inspection manufacturer Lloyd Doyle has announced the availability of a new application software and computer platform for their EXCALIBUR range of equipment. This new option, based on a Hewlett Packard UNIX workstation,provides a number of improvements.

Using the new option, data download is improved and both set-up and fault processing times are reduced,allowing increased throughput.

Greater flexibility is a further advantage with the new system. Communication over LANs becomes more efficient and there are significant benefits to available memory for data intensive applications. Online data storage also allows for easy archive management.
