The Winter Conference held on 11–12 December 1991 in Zurich was regarded by participants to have been one of the most successful among recent EIPC conferences, both for the organisation and the quality of papers. Highlighted papers included Dr Nakahara's presentation of Trends & Technology in PWBs in the Asian Market, a presentation by Bosch of Requirements for PCBs in the 90s from the point of view of a User, a technical report from IBM Japan on the development of Surface Laminar Circuits, as well as various papers from Fuba, Cicorel, Alcatel, etc.
