This month Circuit World visits the thriving market town of Bishop's Stortford in East Hertfordshire. Bishop's Stortford has stayed unspoilt by the industrial revolution since the towns most famous son, Cecil Rhodes was born in 1853. To the South, Harlow New Town and to the west Hoddesdon and Stevenage have captured the heavier industries and much of the overspill from North London, leaving Bishop's Stortford as a pleasant market town with some light industry.
