Coates ASI to withdraw from manufacture and sale of equipment

Coates ASI have withdrawn from the manufacture and sale of wet processing equipment at the end of 1998. Arrangements have been made to fulfil all customer warranties on existing equipment, and to continue the supply of spares to past customers.

The company finds that it is no longer able to command economic prices for its high quality personalised design approach, and Coates prefers to withdraw rather than contemplate a reduction in the quality of its products.

Coates will continue to supply the North American circuit market with Imagecure® and related products through Coates Circuit Products, a division of Coates Screen Inc.,based in Chicago.
