Multek expands PCB fabrication capabilities in Guadalajara, Mexico

Multek has acquired CUMEX Electronics SA de CV, Mexico's largest printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer. This aggressive expansion into Mexico demonstrates Multek's commitment to the region and to its global vision for electronics manufacturing.
Founded in 1993, CUMEX specialises in prototypes, pre-production and volume production of high quality PCBs. The company offers multilayer, double- and single-sided PCB technologies. Through the agreement, Multek acquired the existing 60,000sq.ft facility, with an experienced management team in the manufacturing of printed circuit board technologies. The CUMEX plant is U.L. certified and backed by a corporate quality system that is ISO 9002 and Bellcore compliant. Multek intends to provide employment to the existing 300 employees. The terms of the financial transaction were not disclosed.
