New team launches plating equipment business

A new company, Plating Equipment Ltd, has been launched to design and manufacture manual and automatic plating equipment for the world-wide metal finishing and printed circuit board industries.
The company, based in Aylesbury, is headed by Cedric Clifford a well known figure in the surface engineering and chemicals business. Plating Equipment,which has a wealth of design, technical and engineering expertise, is specialising in the production of fully-modular systems for plating, PCBs and electrophoretic coatings.
The new company is currently negotiating to take over the servicing, spares supply and general maintenance of existing lines which were originally supplied by Process Equipment Ltd. Managing director Cedric Clifford says: "Pro-Quip had built up a great reputation for quality and service. We intend to ensure that previous customers continue to receive the level of support they have come to expect".
Plating Equipment was formed by several members of staff from Pro-Quip. Among the new team are Mick Browne, technical director; Angela Manders, financial director; Sue Barlow, buyer and customer support; Jim Rutter, works superintendent and Kevin Shuttleworth, installation foreman. John Campbell will continue his role of providing engineering consultancy services.
