New high grade Sefar mesh

Keywords Coates, Sefar, Fabric, Printing

The screen printing of high definition circuits is set to benefit from the years of development, extensive trialling and newly pioneered production technologies that are behind Sefar's new PET 2000 screen mesh, claim Coates Surface Products.

A new yarn has been developed by Sefar for PET 2000, and results in fabrics with extremely low tension loss throughout print runs, giving extremely high register accuracy, even on the longest jobs. The thread material and its unique finish give improved ink flow and release properties, contributing still further to the quality of fine detail work.

Even before printing, benefits are seen at the stencil making stage, where dimensional stability ensures accuracy of pre-press work. Increased lifetime of meshes, liner detail (showing even for PCB work with conductor widths or gaps of as little as 100 microns) and the ability to replace stainless steel mesh for some applications, are showing already in cost savings, improved process control, and easier handling.

Coates Circuit Products has stocks of this new mesh available now for immediate trials.
