David H. Ormerod (Plate 1) has been appointed to the position of Director of Technical Service, Enthone® PWB Chemistry for Polyclad Technologies. Mr Ormerod is responsible for the direction and leadership of the US technical service organization.

His extensive career includes over 30 years experience in PWB product marketing, research and development, technical service and sales management. Prior to his appointment, Mr Ormerod was the Enthone director of PWB process equipment and also served as product director for Dexter Electronic Materials,where he marketed the company's full line of PWB lead-free processes, oxide alternatives, plated through-hole and hot air solder leveling products. Mr Ormerod's experience also includes previous positions as a sales director for PMD (UK) Ltd and as the European product manager for Brent Chemicals International.
He has authored technical articles for the industry's leading trade journals and has been the featured speaker at technical symposia and conferences sponsored by the IPC, SMTA, PCIF, and Nepcon. He authored the chapter on oxide technology for the Printed Circuit Board Materials Handbook(McGraw-Hill). Mr Ormerod attained a Higher National Certificate in Chemistry and earned the "Licentiate of the Royal Institute of Chemistry" at the Blackburn College of Technology and Design (UK). Mr Ormerod will be based at the Polyclad Technologies world-wide headquarters in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
