Dutch printed circuit plates manufacturer AIK Laminates in Sittard, southern Netherlands, filed for insolvency with the administrative court of Maastricht on 27 September 2002.

AIK laid-off its 48 employees on 30 September 2002 without introducing a social plan, Dutch trade union FNV Bondgenoten Spokesman C. Van Bokkum said on 2 October 2002. The court is expected to declare AIK bankruptcy on 3 October 2002. The insolvency resulted from a lack of orders, Van Bokkum added.
