"The production of large format backplanes – part 1 and part 2"
which appeared in Circuit World , Vol. 28 Nos 2/3, 2002

Gary Morse became involved with printed circuits in 1978 at British Aerospace, Guided Weapons Division, Stevenage. From there he moved to Rocirc,Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, a prototype PCB manufacturer making high technology boards on exotic substrates for the aerospace and defence industries. In 1988, he joined Vero Electronics (latterly APW) at Hedge End, Southampton, as Works Chemist where he worked for 14 years and was closely involved with developing techniques for the production of high performance large format backplanes. He has been involved with industry groups, in particular the PCIF,where he chaired the Waste Minimisation Group of the Environmental Group. He has been involved with Envirowise in producing sector guides for the industry in water conservation and metals recycling and has published papers on these subjects including contributions to the PCIF Environmental Best Practice Guide. Gary has an honours degree in chemistry and materials science from the Open University and is a Chartered Chemist and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
