Eurocircuits launches a laser-cut solder-paste stencil service to complement its online PCB services

The new service is aimed at design engineers and production departments who hand-assemble prototypes and small series PCBs. Applying solder-paste by hand for surface-mounted components is a slow and tedious process, but stencils are expensive and have to be ordered from a third-party maker, losing time,inflating costs, and increasing the risk of errors.

The new service delivers an unmounted laser-cut stainless steel stencil. Eurocircuits’ customers can get immediate online prices for board and stencil together, with no need to wait for replies from two sales offices. The customer places a single online order for both. Eurocircuits’ engineers verify the board and stencil data together to ensure a perfect match, building a delivery panel if needed. Board and stencil go into simultaneous production to ensure that both are shipped to the customer in the same package.
