The essence of what we do

This article reports on Connexion, OCLC’s new integrated toolset developed as its next generation cataloging system. The author considers the ever‐changing nature of technical services in light of technological evolutions, budget constraints, and the expectations of academic library users. The article also looks at the importance of education for in‐training and practicing catalog librarians.
