The True Golden Hour: How People Respond in Emergencies

This is an updated version of the 1994 printing which I believe was only released in Hebrew. Despite the large diversity of disastrous occurrences there are several themes that run through the responses that we, as individuals and members of communities, make and this book highlights many of these responses and explains the human factors that underpin those responses. The author is of true international standing with a wide experience in the field of human response to emergencies. The central focus of this book is around the spontaneous reaction of the general public to such emergencies. It questions the myth that the general public panic in the event of a disastrous situation but in fact, as research shows, that once the initial shock subsides it is the public who really are the True Golden Hour responders.
