This communication is concerned with the some of the problems encountered when building a specialised collection of bibliographic data from multiple bibliographic databases and one successful solution to these problems. It is common for the format of the data retrieved to vary considerably. The specialised collection is then edited, maintained, formatted and printed using a local personal computer system. Considerable work is involved in dealing with the variety of formats that can occur in the data from bibliographic databases.
