Managing project scope creep in construction industry

Mian M. Ajmal is currently working as an Associate Professor of Management at the College of Business, Abu Dhabi University, UAE. He also holds Research Fellowship position at the Industrial Management Department, University of Vaasa, Finland from where he obtained his Doctoral degree in Business Administration and Economics. He has been also involved in several European Union research projects in the past. His research interests pertain to knowledge, project and supply chain management; entrepreneurship, sustainability; and organizational behavior and culture. He has published more than 50 research articles in several internationally well-known journals including Business Process Management Journal, Project Management Journal and Knowledge Management Journal.

Mehmood Khan is the director of center of excellence in Sustainable Business Processes at Abu Dhabi University. He has a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Ryerson University, Canada. He has been teaching at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia; Brock University and Ryerson University, Canada. His research interests span quality control, supply chain management, simulation, learning behaviors and enterprise resource planning systems. His work has been published in many A* and A ranked international journals, such as Omega, Int. J. Production Economics, Int. J. Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research and Journal of Operational Research Society.

Dr. Angappa Gunasekaran is a special assistant to the Provost for Academic Affairs and Student Success and served as Dean of the School of Business and Public Administration from 2017 to 2021 at California State University, Bakersfield. He is also a tenured full professor of operations management. Prior to this, he served as Dean of the Charlton College of Business from 2013 to 2017, Chairperson of the Department of Decision and Information Sciences from 2006-2012 and the founding Director of Business Innovation Research Center (BIRC) from 2006 to 2017 at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has published over 400 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented about 50 papers, published 50 articles in conferences and given a number of invited talks in many countries. Dr. Gunasekaran is on the Editorial Board of over 30 peer-reviewed journals, which include some prestigious journals. He has organized several international workshops and conferences in the emerging areas of operations management and information systems.

Petri T. Helo is a Professor of Industrial Management, Logistics Systems in the Networked Value Systems Group at the University of Vaasa, Finland. His research addresses the management of logistics processes in supply demand networks and decision support systems. He is also involved in developing logistics information systems at Wapice Ltd. as a partner.
