This research endeavors to assess the extent of awareness concerning Construction 4.0 technologies and ascertain the willingness to adopt these technologies within the construction industry in Jordan.
The quantitative method was adopted by reviewing relevant literature to compile a list of Industry 4.0 techniques and their application in the construction industry. A questionnaire was distributed to respondents from various institutions and companies in Jordan to achieve the desired study objectives. The questionnaire was analyzed with SPSS using statistical tests such as mean score, relative importance index and the Wallis H test.
After collecting the quantitative data, the results showed that the majority of respondents have low awareness of Construction 4.0 technologies and greater awareness of some technologies like social media, Building information modeling (BIM) and the Internet of Things. In addition, the study showed a high willingness among the Jordanian respondents to adopt new technologies such as BIM, simulation tools and models, 3D printing and drones.
This study presents insights and data regarding the current state of knowledge and advancements in Jordan related to Construction 4.0 concepts and techniques. Additionally, it explores the industry’s willingness to adopt these technologies.
