The case study intends to explain attrition and employee engagement & its impact on attrition. The case discussions enable students/learners to identify and analyze factors that lead to attrition and affect employee engagement, most of which are not easily recognizable. The deliberations will help students/learners appreciate the importance of employee engagement for the employee and the organization.
The case study is an original story about a company in Hyderabad in the telecom infrastructure industry with an illustrative scenario on facing high attrition. The case study delves into the underlying factors influencing employee satisfaction and attrition, emphasizing the importance of effective HR strategies in managing employees. The critical implications of this case can be used to teach the essence of employee satisfaction and employee engagement and their role in prevention of attrition or employee turnover and concepts related to them. Through qualitative research methods, the insights gathered from employees and management of the company provide important lessons to learners on shaping HR practices that prioritize long-term retention and taking care of employees. Ultimately, the company’s experience serves as a compelling illustration of the challenges facing organizations in today’s dynamic work environment.
