The times we live in

Like the people who populate it, the world has a complex nature. For this editorial I was going to proffer some thoughts on the exciting/interesting times in which we are living. I was going to talk about the learning society and how the European Commission's White Paper on Education and Training identified three driving forces of change. I was going to note the exuberant abundance of wonderful sites on the World Wide Web where we could find many useful snippets of information. I was going to mention some of the marvellous events and happenings taking place now, in our lifetime, which would open our eyes to new possibilities.
