Digital library projects: Where they are now — Part one

A year ago, six digital library projects were announced in the US which were to receive $24.4m of federal funding over the coming four years. The projects were ‘to dramatically advance the means to collect, store and organise information in digital forms, and make it available for searching, retrieval and processing via communications networks in user‐friendly ways.’
