British Library turns a new page A new computer system at the British Library revolutionises the way visitors to the Library view the older books on display. Turning the Pages uses computer animation, high quality digitised images and touch screen technology to simulate the action of turning the page of the books: apart from the actual musty smell of old books, the readers get exactly the information they would from the actual printed editions, which sit safely in their protected cabinets unpawed by the general public.
