The Root‐Knot Nematode Taxonomic Database is a reference tool and teaching resource for nematologists and others interested in the study of root‐knot nematodes (meloidogyne). The database includes over 450 articles, monographs, and book chapters; six video clips; and over 100 pictures. Information is divided into sections on morphology, diagnostic keys, references, classic papers, techniques, distribution maps, and descriptions of species. System requirements include: for PCs, x86‐based PC, Windows 3.1 or higher, 8MB RAM, CD‐ROM drive, and 40MB of hard disk space; for Macs, 68020 or greater processor, 16MB RAM, Apple system software version 7.1.2 or later, CD‐ROM drive, and 40MB hard disk space. Users must also have Adobe Acrobat software loaded onto their computer in order to view the contents; and the CD provides instructions for obtaining the software via the Internet.
This CD is of immense importance for anyone involved in this type of specialized study. The product was easy to load and easy to use and is a very useful tool for nematologists or students of nematology.
