The Virtual Classroom page at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) is comprised of a set of links to resources for faculty interested in integrating technology into their classroom. Three main categories are presented in a table. These include “Methods and Strategies,” “Examples and Ideas,” and “Technology Tools.” The site is then divided into additional categories. The “Generic Course Templates” page links to templates designed for use at Eastern New Mexico University. “Tech/Web Examples” links to a list of examples of courses and instructional uses of the Internet. The examples are broken down into two sections, one for higher education and one for K‐12.

There is also a separate section for courses offered at Eastern New Mexico University. “HTML and Technical Resources” provides a set of links to sites useful in preparing web pages. A link is provided to “The Regional Technology in Educational Consortium”. “Full Web Courses” provides a set of links to courses which are delivered over the Internet. “Technology Concepts” provides a set of links to sites which discuss the use of technology in education. “New Mexico Technology Integration” provides a set a links as resources for public schools in New Mexico. “Misc. Material” provides links to materials that may be of interest to ENMU faculty using the Internet and technology in their courses.

It is unclear why the site is divided first into a table of three categories and then further sub‐divided into a list of additional categories. There appears to be much overlap between the two, with no clear delineation between the categories in the table and the list of additional categories other than that the list provides much more extensive information. This can lead to some confusion on the part of anyone attempting to locate information as there is no search function.

The site has been designed primarily for faculty at ENMU and is of greatest use to them. However, the information and links provided for using technology for education may be useful for anyone involved in integrating the Internet and World Wide Web into their classroom. Especially useful is the set of links to examples of other courses/classes using the Internet for teaching. These examples show how others are using technology effectively in their classrooms. Recommended with reservations.
