DSIR and the Technical Colleges

This is a slightly condensed version of the address presented by Sir Harry Melville, KCB, FRS, Secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research at the Annual General Meeting of the Association of Technical Institutions. The address contained a great deal of information of direct value to technical college teachers, much of it quite insufficiently well‐known, and we believe that reproducing this information here will serve a very useful purpose.
