IBM (UK) Ltd have introduced a correcting electric typewriter, which can be leased at £2.80 a week, enabling a typist to “lift off” her errors at the touch of a button. It is however a scathing indictment of to‐day's lowered standards of typing skill that such a gimmick should be necessary, and it would be interesting to know the reaction of the top class private secretarial colleges.
