RSVP to ILEA

I have the highest respect for Mrs. Janey Rees, until recently Chairman of the ILEA Further Education Sub‐Committee, who has sought to reply in these columns to my criticism of the Authority's policies. It is most sad that she lost her seat in the recent GLC elections; the electorate shows little gratitude to able, dedicated, and hard‐working councillors. But she must know that her attempted justification of certain ILEA policies is not a justification at all.
