ENGINEERING THE FUTURE

The Technician Education Council has welcomed the Report of the Finniston Committee on the engineering profession and believes that a number of its proposals, if implemented, could do much to improve the country's manufacturing performance and thus benefit the national economy. TEC looks forward to contributing to the forthcoming national debate about the Report and its recommendations, particularly those proposals which concern the education and training of engineers and the supply of technicians, and will be submitting its observations on specific recommendations in the Report in due course.
