While standards varied from centre to centre, inadequate preparation and poor examination technique were the principal reasons for a large number of failures. Many candidates were still not aware how to answer examination questions. Several felt that the mention of a topic in the Business Law paper was an invitation to write all that they knew on that topic, without really answering the question asked. Candidates who wish to improve their knowledge and examination technique should read General Principles of Business Law (Q&A) 1984 edition, by Grewal & De Freitas (Published by Castlevale), and hopefully the use of this handbook will improve their performance.
