IT WAS at the end of last year that the Robbins Committee was charged with the task of reviewing the pattern of full‐time higher education and advising whether there should be any changes in that pattern. Examples have been given of possible changes that may be considered by the Committee: the creation of new types of institution and modification of the present arrangements for planning and co‐ordinating developments.
