The British Computer Society has launched an Internet service to put employers and information-technology students in contact for work-placement and job offers.
The WorkLink service helps students to create a CV which highlights their achievements and means they can sell themselves better. The CVs are stored in a secure online database for as long as candidates wish. Companies offering work placements or seeking new graduates for permanent information-technology jobs can search for candidates according to the skills and achievements they want.
The service, exclusive to young members of the British Computer Society, has been designed by IntraSolve,a recruitment software company.
