Programmes extended to Bulgaria

The European Parliament has recommended that Bulgaria be allowed to take part in EU vocational training and education programmes.

Euro-MPS welcomed the fact that, as soon as the problems of Bulgaria's financial contribution to the programmes has been resolved, the country will join the eight other eastern European countries already involved in Leonardo and Socrates.

Bulgaria has already made a number of preparations, notably the creation of decentralized management structures in Sofia.
