PUBLIC RELATIONS IN TECHNICAL COLLEGES

It is now four years since the National Advisory Council on Education for Industry and Commerce (NACEIC) published its report The public relations of further education and the Department of Education and Science commended the report to local authorities (DES circular 17/64). Have public relations in further education improved since then? I believe they have, but there is still a lot of improvement possible. In this article it is intended to look at the subject particularly from the college viewpoint. It does not discuss directly the role of the DES, the RACs or the LEAs.
