To most people industrial training conjures visions of apprentices in greasy overalls, tackling the mysteries of lathes and horizontal milling machines. In fact today's training officer has to be equipped to tackle management development, operator training, decimal and metric conversion, the training of supervisors, and formalized selection testing procedures. Until recently one of the most neglected of training spheres was the training of clerical workers. This situation had been due to the fact that no one in industry had made a serious analysis of the various functions of the office worker.
