Education in Wales Addysg yng Nghymru Available to Purchase

In English mythology, the Welsh abound in teachers, preachers, clerks, and Mid‐Welsh dairymen. Simple folklore defines the Welsh character as secretive, shifty, and utterly foreign. Yet it is a fact that little or no progress could have been made in English education and little in politics without their active support. The English have good reason to be grateful to the Welsh both for the strength of their political institutions and for the viability of their schools.
