Routes for Part‐time Study: Student Wastage and Comparative Costs

Those wishing to study but unable to attend a full‐time, sandwich, or block release course have a number of options open to them. They may study on a part‐time day release course, at evening classes, by correspondence tuition, or by private study. A fifth route is by Directed Private Study ie linked oral‐postal tuition. Hitherto, relatively few students have followed this method of study; but there is reason to believe that more will do so in the years ahead.
