THE USEFUL WORK which ASLIB (The Association of Special Libraries and Information Bureaux) is doing by encouraging the development of special libraries of all kinds and by helping research into the most efficient methods of administration is well known. The thirty‐ninth Conference of ASLIB held recently at Scarborough was attended by over three hundred representatives from every type of library and information service.
