Ministry Project at Preston. Work has started on one of the major projects in the Government's £160 million technical education expansion programme. Extensions costing £650,000 are being undertaken to the Harris College of Further Education, Preston, Lanes. The project was designed by the Development Group, Ministry of Education's Architects and Buildings branch, in consultation with the Borough Engineer and Surveyor, Preston, with Architects Co‐Partnership collaborating. The completion date is fixed for early in 1962, but certain sections of the structure are scheduled for completion earlier.
