The case for international business

Over recent years many church groups, charities and other interest groups based, on the whole, in the industrialised world have espoused the “development” cause, attracting a great deal of public support and press coverage for their campaign. Their central aim — to bring about a dramatic improvement in living standards and conditions for the world's poor and hungry — is one which all of us must surely endorse.
