Educational Preparation for Working Life

The first two books on the list are case studies conducted in schools; one is an investigation into how 12‐year‐old pupils settle down when they transfer from a Middle to a Comprehensive school, the other is a study of a curriculum for the less‐academic streams during their last two years of compulsory education. The remaining two books are studies of the transfer of pupils and university graduates into their first jobs. All four books then, in different ways, deal with the transfer from one mode of life into another and more challenging invironment.
