SPREADING THE GOSPEL

THE IMPORTANCE of technical education in a guilty world is now taken as read. All the more surprising, therefore, that outside the three or four colleges which exist for training teachers for technical institutions, little interest has been shown in the need for introducing some teaching of technical education into university depart‐ments of education and teacher training colleges. If in these institutions there is need for specialists in primary and secondary modern work, as well as experts in what the pundits call French or History method, surely the time has come to devote some attention to the academic study of one of the most rapidly developing sectors of education.
