The Type 1825 Dynamic Materials Tester made by Dawe Instruments Ltd, Western Avenue, Acton, London W 3, is a new non‐destructive materials tester for the laboratory measurement of Young's Modulus, selectivity (Q), damping capacity, and the velocity of sound in a solid bar specimen excited to resonance.
