A commentary by HM Inspectorate, Aspects of Higher Education in the United States of America, has been published by HM Stationery Office at £3.50. It follows a ten‐day visit last October to seven state universities and two community colleges on the East Coast of the USA, with the aim of studying the funding, governance, management and responsiveness of the institutions and to highlight issues of importance to UK thinking on comparable themes.
