Kick-off for language-learning project

Young people in Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic are being introduced to foreign languages through an interactive DVD on a football theme. The DVD teaches English, German, Italian and Spanish through video clips of goals, interviews with famous footballers, games and quizzes. It is produced under the SoccerLingua project, which is based on the principle that motivation is the first deciding factor in encouraging someone to learn a new language.
