Stuart Mawson of Heriot-Watt University has been awarded the annual £1,000 bursary given by Mitsubishi Electric Environmental Control Division. The bursary is given by Mitsubishi Electric to help students through their further education, as well as to help expand their knowledge of air conditioning.

Mitsubishi Electric has taken a keen interest in furthering the future of environmental control and encourages students to work towards qualifications in the industry by offering a bursary to the most promising student.

Stuart, originally from Leeds, is in his final year, studying for a BEng Hons in Environmental Services Engineering, in the Department of Building Engineering and Surveying at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

Steve Jones, general sales and marketing manager for Mitsubishi Electric Environmental Control System Division, presented Stuart with the bursary at a presentation in Hatfield soon after the decision was made.

Stuart's course leader, Roy Webb, said: "I'm pleased that Stuart has received this extra encouragement and support from Mitsubishi Electric. He is a very bright student and deserves the reward and encouragement."
