RIBA CPD points valid within BIAT scheme

RIBA approved CPD is now available for use by all members of the British Institute of Architectural Technologists (BIAT) and qualifies as valid CPD points within BIAT's own scheme. This endorsement demonstrates the close relationship that exists between the two organisations and their members in practice and this latest development is certain to be well received.

BIAT is the only professional qualifying body for architectural technologists. Fully qualified architectural technicians (MBIAT) are specialists in building design and construction, being concerned primarily with the technical performance of the building, whether residential, commercial, or industrial. BIAT currently represents over 6,000 members working and studying in the UK and overseas.

BIAT's primary aims are to establish proper standards of competence for the profession and to promote the interests of its members through activities such as: developing links with government departments, statutory bodies and other influential organisations, to improve recognition, insisting that the code of conduct is adhered to at all times, and undertaking regular reviews of education and training standards to ensure that current industry requirements are met.
