Douglas Anderson

Introduces the special festschrift issue to mark the retirement of Douglas Anderson, from the School of Information and Media at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland. Argues that Douglas contributed greatly to the development of the role of postgraduate course leader in library schools, and had an early appreciation of the potential of IT in librarianship and information work.
