Mapping the desktop research in Pakistan: a bibliometric analysis Available to Purchase

Nazia Wahid, PhD, is working as a Deputy Librarian, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She has completed her Masters and MPhil in Library and Information Science. Recently, she has completed her PhD in Information Management from the Institute of Information Management, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She has over 20 years’ experience in serving the libraries of prestigious institutions in Pakistan. She has a good research and publication track having many research publications in national and international journals. She has also presented research papers in conferences. Her areas of interest include bibliometrics, scientometrics, information literacy, library management and digital libraries.

Usama Amin is the MPhil student in the Institute of Information Management. He has recently completed his graduation in Information Management. His areas of interest are bibliometrics and data visualization softwares.

Muhammad Ajmal Khan is a Head, Library Quality and Academic Accreditation, Deanship of Library Affairs, Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has more than 26 years of research and professional experience at university level in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Being founder of Pakistan Library Automation Group (Paklag.org), he has contributed in automation and upgradation of libraries in Pakistan. National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan, awarded him gold medal for innovation and creativity. His research interests focus on library automation, library software, data visualization and bibliometrics.

Nadeem Siddique, PhD, is a Head of the Library, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He earned his doctorate from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. He has more than 22 years of teaching, research and professional experience at the university level in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. His research interests focus on library automation, library software, content analysis and bibliometrics. He is a founding member and Vice President of Pakistan Library Automation Group (PakLAG).

Nosheen Fatima Warraich, PhD, is working as a Professor in the Institute of Information Management, University of the Punjab, Lahore. She completed her Post-Doctorate at the University at Albany, SUNY (State University of New York), under the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Award (2015–2016). Association of Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) selected her as “New Leader (2017–2018),” and she received her award in ASIS&T annual meeting in Washington. She teaches courses in the area of management, services marketing, research methods and linked data in information environment. Her research focuses on libraries’ human resources, LIS job market, public libraries, linked data and E-govt. She has a good research and publication track. Linked data challenges 595 with more than 20 national and international research papers and book chapters. She has presented her research papers in different international conferences held in Sweden, Malaysia, USA, Italy, France, Thailand, Australia and Canada.
