Purpose

The purpose of this study is to combine topic modeling with library branding to improve library collections’ accessibility and reputation by integrating data analysis and branding into library structures. This study explores how topic modeling can transform libraries organize and showcase their resources using text analytics methods to boost user satisfaction and interaction in the end.

Design/methodology/approach

The researcher collected 229 abstracts from the Scopus database on Library and Branding using standard search key. Latent Dirichlet Allocation technique was used to perform topic modeling on the data set after preprocessing it through steps like text transformation, normalization, tokenization and filtering.

Findings

This study pinpointed five areas of interest: A focus on customer service and maintaining business relationships, different academic resources available and the assistance provided by librarians, tactics for branding and communication within the business realm, case studies in marketing and brand education and initiatives for research and development driven by community involvement. The results of this study indicate that using topic modeling can greatly benefit the organization of library services leading to user satisfaction and increased community involvement by aligning resources, with user preferences. This study also underscores the significance of implementing strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of libraries.

Originality/value

This study uses topic modeling and library branding to improve library operations and user engagement to keep up with fast-paced digital developments.
