This systematic review uses the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) method to comprehensively analyze the available literature on knowledge management (KM) and its relation to innovation.
Relevant research papers from 2015 to 2022 were obtained from the WoS database. After screening and evaluating eligible studies using PRISMA guidelines, a final sample of 77 papers was selected after the exclusion process.
The review indicates that the majority of the published studies are from Asia and Europe. The researchers used different methodologies and data collection techniques in different research settings. Many studies integrated several theories, while other studies used single theories. Generally, the findings indicate that KM has a relationship with innovation in various research settings, and KM is an important driver of innovation.
