Shares the lesson learnt by the author after losing control of a group of 35 students whilst taking a session on smoking education at a youth club. Describes how the session began and the chaos which resulted as a consequence of the approach used. Proposes ways in which the session could have been improved, leading to better understanding and the maintenance of order.
