A common inter-regional ILL pricing policy has been agreed by members of CONARLS (The Circle of Officers of National and Regional Library Systems). The agreement, which was effective from 1 October 2000, does not prejudice any pre-existing ILL schemes or pricings but provides a cheaper alternative to the British Library Document Supply Centre (BLDSC) for those libraries which want it. BLDSC, via its representation on CONARLS, has been involved with the discussions leading to the agreement.
